The ship had a full under and on deck cargo to discharge in the Rio de Janeiro area. The vessel loaded her cargoes ex. Newcastle, Rostock, Tilbury, Immingham and Antwerp and after Rio de Janeiro had only Buenos Aires, Argentina to call to complete her southbound laden leg. Mr. Marcelo Urbano, manager of our Rio de Janeiro branch office, coordinated the complex direct on truck & barge discharge operation in Rio de Janeiro and thereafter sailed with the ship to the Maua Jurong shipyard across the bay in NIteroi.
