The Mexilhao jacket for which Trinitas carried all the construction steels to Niteroi was launched end November. During 2007-2008, Trinitas has carried on their regular sailings, various cargo parts for this project. The challenge in these shipments were the stowage of the various sizes of steels, tubes which measured to a diameter of some 3meter. A total of about 11,300mtons of steels have been shipped.
Trinitas’ flexibility provided the best solution for the clients to ship all the construction parts in various quantities and for which Trinitas also organized the receipt and handling in the port of Antwerp through its office Trinitas Antwerp.
Trinitas is proud to see the result of the components being put together to become one of the major platforms for Petrobras. The unit will start producing in 2010 with a capacity of 15million cubic meters of gas per day, equivalent to half of the Brazil-Bolivia pipeline capacity.
